You have come to the right place to seek advice on PORN addiction. And from the right person. I am a Counsellor in SEX matters. Read my Profile.
One Viewer feels that you have come to the wrong place, but I do not agree.
You have been bold enough to accept that you have a problem of addiction. Masturbation is normal and healthy, but it is addiction like smoking, drinking, gambling which is dangerous.
Here are a few ways that may help you.
You have to remove all digital and physical pornographic material that you have access to. Maybe even stop visiting Forums that have SEX as their main content.
Try to track the pattern and times that lead to viewing porn. Is it boredom, stress, loneliness or worry that forces you to view porn?
The best way is to be busy either physically or mentally that will make you tired. Exercise and meditation are a great help. Try to be with friends (socialize). As far as possible, try not to be alone with your devices like mobile and PC. Try a new hobby that keeps you busy.
There is a 10-minute rule. When you have the urge, wait for 10 minutes. Delay is a powerful tool.
Addiction to PORN is a health issue, NOT a moral issue.
There are online help centres like Amaha and Manochikitsa which provide specialized counselling.
Have the willpower to succeed. You have taken the first step of seeking advice. The next step is to follow my advice.
